A Solid Foundation

Jesus is our Solid Rock. Our solid foundation.

Matthew 7:24-27/ ESV “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”.

If it is your desire to have a strong christian life, you must first build a solid foundation. People and things fall apart when there is not a solid foundation. Everything has a foundation, everything has a beginning, but how strong is the foundation you build your house on. Today we see marriages fail, people giving up on their dreams all because the foundation was not strong enough stand up against the wind, the rain, the flood, nor the fire. 

God wants us to be strong. Jesus tell us that we have to be wise and to build a solid foundation that we might be able to stand. It's not that we just build a house on the rock or the sand, it's how strong is that foundation.  A house build on sand can be strong depending on how deep the foundation.You have to did through the sand and get to solid ground to start a solid foundation. To build on a rock is even harder. You have to dig  into the rock to start that foundation. God wants us to dig into who we are. what drives us? whats our passion? Get to know you, get to know those around you, that your are building a foundation with and start to dig. Start to build a foundation that will stand the test of time. A foundation that will hold up when the enemy comes in like a flood you shall be like a tree panted by the rivers of water; deeply rooted and stand in the midst of the storm. Get in the Word of God, develop a strong prayer life and start to build a strong foundation in Christ. If you have already build your house get busy reinforce your foundation. God can change every situation. Be strong in the Lord and the power of his might. Let him build you.
